What you will do

  • Act as primary Finance business partner for Sysdig’s Engineering and Marketing teams
  • Own and manage Engineering/Marketing headcount and operating expense budgeting process – lead and drive Engineering and Marketing monthly and quarterly forecasting and variance analysis/reporting process 
  • Prepare management reporting for leadership to analyze results; present forecasts, variances and business metrics for the management team to assess budget risk and optimize resource allocation decisions
  • Drive process improvement for planning and reporting processes – review current forecasting process, models, and procedures, recommends and implements improvements
  • Participate in month end close activities by providing detailed operating spending analysis
  • Support business development activities, domestic/international expansion, roadmap projects and other ad hoc strategic financial and business analysis
  • Participate in corporate FP&A activities including evaluation and implementation of planning system, standardization of planning, forecasting and management reporting processes and enhancement of key metrics reporting

What you will bring with you

  • 10+ years of relevant experience; SaaS experience a strong plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; MBA preferred
  • Excellent analytical / problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to identify patterns and synthesize disparate data to explain problems and propose recommendations
  • Proven track record in leading FP&A activities in a fast growing, dynamic environment
  • Advanced skills in Excel and other financial planning and forecasting tools – familiarity with various planning systems (Anaplan/Adaptive Insights) and Netsuite tools are a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain financial data to non-finance leaders
