System breaches can be initiated from anywhere in your computing environment. From workloads to infrastructure to 3rd party tooling, each can be an attack vector. How can you monitor all those disparate environments from a single tool? This is where Falco plugins can help.
Falco is an open source project that provides runtime security for hosts, Kubernetes, containers, and the cloud. Out of the box, Falco works with Kubernetes audit logs and Linux syscalls. In addition, Falco has a powerful plugin architecture that allows you to define custom event sources.
Falco takes events from custom sources, such as GitHub or Okta, evaluates them against predefined rules, and alerts you to suspicious activity in real time.
In this session, we’ll highlight key Falco plugin use cases, and provide technical details on best practices for plugin development. By the end of this talk, attendees will be inspired and enabled to create new plugins to help enhance the security of their systems.
