Jim is the driving force behind worldwide sales at Sysdig, having joined the company in June 2022. With over two decades of leadership experience, Jim has a proven track record of propelling brand recognition, revenue, and profitability in the B2B enterprise technology sector. Over the last decade, he has excelled at the intersection of cloud, security, and compliance, building and motivating high-performance teams.
Before joining Sysdig, Jim held several senior leadership positions where he demonstrated his strategic acumen and ability to scale sales organizations. Most recently, he was VP of Americas Sales at Sumo Logic, where he contributed to its acquisition by Francisco Partners. Prior to this, he was VP of Sales at Pure Storage, where he drove double-digit revenue growth. He was also SVP of Sales at Metalogix, where he played a key role in its acquisition by Quest, VP of Sales at HyTrust, where he led to its acquisition by Entrust. He has also held pivotal roles at VMware and EMC, shaping sales strategies and execution.
Equal parts evangelist, strategist, and teacher, Jim has managed teams ranging from 10-100 direct reports. He has built sales organizations from the ground up at pre-revenue companies and driven attainment goals as high as $450M at established businesses. His expertise in go-to-market execution lies in navigating high-value, complex sales processes, honed across start-ups, growth-stage, and established technology disruptors.
Professionally, Jim is passionate about building high-performance sales teams and exemplifying excellence in prospecting and deal shaping. As a speaker, he aims to inspire audiences and equip them with actionable tools and best practices to enhance their impact.
Jim holds dual BS degrees in Finance and Philosophy from Boston College, underpinning his strategic thinking and ethical approach to leadership.
