Raleigh, NC to be a base for Sysdig global engineering and operations

SAN FRANCISCO, June 26, 2018 Sysdig, Inc., the cloud-native intelligence company, today announced they will open a new office in Raleigh, North Carolina, with operations beginning by the end of the month. This expansion to the East Coast will accommodate rapid company growth and leverage the area’s diverse, high-technology talent pool. Sysdig will build cross-company operations in Raleigh, including engineering, customer support, customer success, and sales teams.

The company chose Raleigh for its concentration of technical talent and its proximity to several key Sysdig partnerships recently announced, including Red Hat and IBM. Containers and microservices are the building blocks of cloud-native infrastructures and Sysdig is on the forefront of container and microservices adoption. 451 Research predicts the cloud-enabling technology market to grow to $39.6B through 2020, and containers are predicted to be the fastest growing segment of that market at 40%.

Demand for the Sysdig Cloud-Native Intelligence Platform has skyrocketed over the last 12 months as DevOps realize that technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift need a container-native monitoring and security solution. Hundreds of enterprises have come to depend on Sysdig to secure and monitor millions of containers and microservices in production, while millions more rely on Sysdig open source security and troubleshooting tools. Dozens of enterprises with $1 Billion or more in revenue are Sysdig customers today. That includes two of the largest cable companies in North America, multiple top 10 global governments, and a top five global investment bank.

“The decision to expand our presence into Raleigh was a logical next step in our growth strategy,” said Suresh Vasudevan, CEO at Sysdig. “The area is rich with talent from acclaimed universities, as well as the home to many of our current partners and customers. We are confident this move will increase our ability to innovate, service enterprise customers, and more deeply partner with the Raleigh-based companies who are shaping the future of cloud-native applications. As a company, we will proactively work to integrate ourselves and give back to the already thriving Raleigh tech market.”

In addition to the corporate headquarters in San Francisco, California, Sysdig also has offices in London, UK; Belgrade, Serbia; and Davis, California; as well as teammates located around the world, including Italy and Spain.
